MEET THE MAKER
Hey there—I’m Greg South, the guy behind the sawdust, laser engraver, and all the wooden creations here at Danthom Designs. I’ve always believed that great communities are built through connection, and for me, woodworking has become one of the best ways to connect with people in Courtland and the surrounding Hampton Roads area.

Most of my favorite moments come from talking with folks at local markets, chatting about hometown memories, or hearing the stories behind why someone wants a custom piece. Whether I’m crafting a sign for a neighborhood event or making engraved gifts for a small business down the street, I love knowing that the work I do stays right here with the people who make this community special.
I’m proud to create pieces that show up in local homes, shops, celebrations, fundraisers, and family traditions. Every project feels a little like being part of someone’s story—and that’s one of the reasons I enjoy this craft so much.
Danthom Designs isn’t a big factory or a huge company. It’s just me, doing what I love, building things for my neighbors, and hopefully adding a little more warmth, creativity, and connection to the place we call home.
